What is Linxy.app?

Linxy.app lets you scan photos, graphics and other items to instantly display video and other online content. It's like seeing the video placed inside a picture.  Linxy.app shows the video instantly! Like Magic.

But, how do you put a video inside a picture?

Linxy.app transforms photos and graphics into scannable Linxy items by inserting special dots not visible to the human eye but detectable by the app. We call these special dots or pixels “Linxy marks”.

Linxy.app detects Linxy marks and instantly displays the video or other content the user paired with the photo or graphics. Pretty cool, right? The process is simple, too.

  • Upload a photo or graphics.
  • Upload  your video or add a link to online content.
  • Print anywhere. That’s it.

Linxy.app can display video, stories, personal greetings, web pages, audio books.

More sophisticated content display includes interactive order forms, property walk-throughs, rotatable product views, live menus, quizzes, and lots more. Linxy.app can be used to play audio files, start secure communications and connect via FaceTime.

Nearly all printed items can be made Linxy!

HOW TO SCAN

First the basics. Linxy.app needs:

  • Camera access (for scanning)
  • An Internet connection (to get and deliver content)
  • Good lighting (to detect marks)

Tap the built-in light (torch icon at top left of scanning screen) to illuminate the scan if needed.

  • Tap the Linxy.app tile to scan
  • Point your device to the Linxy marked item and allow Linxy.app to detect the mark and display the video or other content. 

That's it. Content displays right away!

RESCAN AFTER CONTENT DISPLAY

To scan again:

On iOS devices (iPhone, iPad):

Tap the video to reveal the “X” at the top left; tap the “X” then tap on the red Linxy.app icon.

On Android devices:

Tap the red Linxy.app icon.

For Best Results

Scan the photo or item between 3-8 inches (7–20cm) away from the item keeping the phone or tablet still for 1-2 seconds.

Continuously moving the device or the Linxy item prevents Linxy.app from detecting the mark.
