How to scan a Linxy Mark

The Linxy App's scanner reads invisible watermarks embedded in images. Here's how to get a successful scan every time.

Step by step

Open the scanner

Tap the red camera icon in the bottom navigation bar. The scanner activates immediately — you'll see a live camera feed.

Frame the marked image

Hold your phone 6–12 inches (15–30 cm) from the image. Make sure the entire marked area is visible in the camera view. The scanner needs to see the full image, not just a corner.

Hold steady

Keep the phone still for 1–2 seconds. The scanner analyzes the image frame by frame. A slight pause gives it the sharpest possible input.

Content loads automatically

When the watermark is detected, your phone vibrates and the linked content appears. There's no "scan" button to press — detection is continuous and automatic.

What the scanner reads

Linxy Marks — invisible watermarks in printed or displayed images
Linxy IQ codes — QR codes generated through the Linxy platform
Standard QR codes — any QR code from any source
NFC tags — hold your phone near an NFC-enabled tag or sticker

Camera permission required: The scanner needs camera access to work. If prompted, tap "Allow." If you previously denied permission, go to your phone's Settings, find the Linxy App, and enable Camera access.

After the scan

Every successful scan is automatically saved in your Replay history. You can revisit any scanned content at any time from the Replay tile on the home screen. If you're logged in, marks are also saved to your My Linxy collection.
